Peas Please

Bella Raye loved her peas...she didn't even flinch when I went from a bite of cereal to peas! Hopefully she continues to like her fruit and veggies!

She also liked her Jolly Jumper that daddy put together for her! Another activity for her to do during the day! YEAH!

What a day Izabella had, a new toy to try out and a new food! She was exhausted couldn't even get through her Baby Einstein show!!!

Nakey Baby

Bella Raye loves being "Nakey Baby"! We hope she outgrows this phase by the time she becomes a teenager!
I had her all dolled up trying to get this cute picture for something and couldn't get the shot I wanted but as soon as the outfit came off she was as cute as could be!

Showered with Love

Saturday we had Tea for Two….a shower for one of our best friends Amy Warner and her twin girls at Helios Tea room! It was such a great celebration in honor of the upcoming birth of her girls and Amy. We had lots of fun visiting, eating and with some games…..including my favorite investigating diapers! Amy had some friends and family members who traveled from Chicago, Michigan, and Ohio to be apart of the shower. There were two special little ones there too that everyone got to meet for the first time; Asher TenEyck Wilson, 11 weeks old and Jillian Grayce Starr, 2 weeks old.

The girls were showered with many gifts and lots of “little” outfits! Amy looks fantastic and is glowing!
We couldn’t be more excited for the girls to get here! See who they look like get to know their little personalities and watch all our girls grow up together!

Saturday night we went to Ruth Chris Steakhouse for a treat out and to celebrate John's 34th Birthday! It was a lot of fun to be with friends, share lots of laughter and of course phenomenal food!
We still love every minute of parenthood but enjoy getting out as a couple and spending time with friends and eachother!

Favorite Nights

Tim and my favorite nights before Bella was born use to be watching our shows on the couch together and letting go of our “to do” list for the night! Tonight was not planned to be one of those but ended up being one with Bella. I can't remember the last time one of us wasn't doing something! We enjoyed a nice dinner together and caught up on the shows we had DVR’d for the week.
Tim's favorite time with Bella Raye since she was a newborn is when she is sleeping on his chest! We both cherish sweet moments like these because we know sooner than we think she will be running around so busy that it will be hard to steel kisses from her!

We are so excited about the COLTS victory over New England!!! Tim got to go the game and be a part of all the excitement! I can't imagine how much the Dome was rockin'! I was in an empty patients room the last 25 minutes of the game and couldn't contain my excitement! Bella got to watch the game with Grandma and Grandpa Stafford on their big screen with Aunt Rachel, Uncle Ryan and "Aunt" Sara.
This is huge for our city and we are so happy they finally made it to the SUPERBOWL!

Chow Time

Bella Raye had cereal for the first time tonight and loved it! We couldn't believe how quickly she caught on to the spoon and swallowing. Also how much she enjoyed it! She was laughing at the end as if she was so proud of herself for doing something new! Although we will have to be investing in some more big bibs soon!
It was a lot of fun for Tim and I to feed her tonight! Another first for Bella and us! It seems like each milestone is bittersweet….we are thrilled that she is developing, growing, and learning new tricks but hate that our baby is changing so quickly right in front of our eyes!
I have said this before but we truly love every second of parenthood and are thrilled we get to share so much time with our precious Bella Raye!
She is becoming such a big girl!

Go Colts!!!!

Even in North Carolina we were cheering on our Colts loud and proud!
We enjoyed “dip day” with Gretchen JR and Beckett as we watched the great game!
Tim and I may be adopting “dip day” in our home! The Mize enjoy the games, races or whatever sports may be on Sunday and enjoy munching on different dips and now it is known in their house as “dip day”.
We thoroughly enjoyed it!
We are looking forward to another Colt’s victory this week!

What a weekend!!!

We could not have asked for a better weekend in Matthews, North Carolina visiting with JR, Gretchen and Beckett! Beckett is such a sweet baby! We can’t believe what a difference 5 weeks makes…because Bella looked so much bigger than he was! He has the most beautiful baby skin I have ever seen…looks like he has been in a tanning bed! We enjoyed spending so much time with him and getting to know him!
Tim is so happy when he is with JR, they have been friends since grade school, they laugh at the same things are, know the same stories from years ago and just have fun together even if it is doing nothing! I love seeing Tim so happy and wish they could see each other more than they do, but thankful for lifelong friends!
Gretchen is a wonderful host and one of those people I feel like I have known longer than I have! We had lots of fun chatting about mom stuff, cooking and just relaxing together all weekend!THANKS for having Mize’s!!!!

Charlotte OR Bust

We made it here in 10 hours and 3 stops... for having a 4 month old we think that is great! Not to say that by the time we pulled in the Mize’s driveway she wasn’t screaming to get out of her car seat, but she did a great throught the whole trip!
We having enjoyed visiting and catching up with JR and Gretchen and meeting their adorable baby, Beckett”. It has been very low key since we arrived which is just want Tim and I have needed! We were all able to sleep in today and in our jammies until about 1 this afternoon when we decided we should all get ready to get lunch! We are looking forward to the rest of the weekend being just like it has been so far, relaxing and enjoying some good food and great friends!

Our Little Weed!!!

Bella 10 days old!

Bella 4 months old!

Today Bella had her 4 month check up with Dr Layman, and have a clear bill of health and are exactly on track developmentally!
She weighed 13lbs 8 oz (an exact gain of 3lbs from her 2 month appt. and puts her right at 50th percentile)
Her height is 25 ¾ inches (growth of 2 ½ inches 65th percentile)
Her head was 17 ¼ cm (growth of 2 cm and the 95th percentile)
She also got four shots again…she was not happy when the nurse was giving them to her but once she was in my arms again she was ok! She crashed for 3 hours after her appt and was in her pj’s early tonight and just watched her Baby Einstein DVD! ( very low key night after her big day!)
We are headed for our first road trip to Charlotte, North Carolina since Izabella has been born! We are going to visit our friends JR, Gretchen and meet their new little man, Beckett! We have the Trailblazer loaded of goodies to keep Bella entertained during our trip! We are looking forward to getting there and having a fun and relaxing weekend visiting!
Each time we leave the Dr office I am so thankful that we are blessed with a healthy, happy and growing baby! We are truly blessed over and over again!

Four Months and Fantastic!!!

Our little Baby Burrito….she loves her bath! Now she loves to look at the baby in the big mirror after her bath is over!

Look I learned to hold my bottle all by myself, although most of the time I still like someone else to hold it for me so I can watch everything else that is going on!

I love chomping on my Busy Bee....I make a growling sound when I see it!Check out those thighs too! Can you tell I am up to eat 6-7 oz a feeding now!

2006 was a year we will never forget with the birth of our daughter! It was a special year for many of our friends with the birth of their children too: Addison Reusser, Fallyn Rae, Jason "Beckett", Asher TenEyke! We feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many friends and their babies…Bella will have lots of friends to play with! We know that there will be lots more playmates for Bella this coming year and are looking forward to the births of Baby Starr, Wilkinson, Warner Twins, Rady, Fedor, Mc Call and Gray with more to come I am sure! There is definitely something in the water!
