Wednesday afternoon we had our annual Riley appt to have Bella's hearing tested and check in with Dr Miyamoto.This time she got to do the big girl hearing test and it took 1/4 of the time that the other one took! Bella responded to every tone/sound! Good news, that hearing in her left her remains great!
Dr Miyamoto looked at both of Bella's ears, asked if we had any concerns, and we didn't.
He went over the "time line"again and explained benefits of this procedure. He thought we should check in with the plastic surgeon who will reconstruct her outer ear first. It has been 2 years since we have seen him so we will check in again and then wait! Bella will probably be 7-8 before we start the process and at that point her ear will be closer to adult size.
I have said this before but we are truly blessed with a healthy and happy child!
You are reminded of that the moment you walk in the door at Riley Hospital!
