Going Green...

Friday Morning at our MOPS meeting
Sara Snow was our guest speaker. I was completely inspired by her short lecture! Now if I only had all the time and money to make all the changes I wish I could immediately!!!
I have ordered her book Fresh Living and hope to take many ideas to help my family and our earth for the better!!!

Here are just a few ideas that are simple changes that we can all do...I have also started to compile a list that I hope within the next year I can accomplish. I hope to share this list with you as I am able to check some off...

*Turn your thermostat down just one degree in the winter and up one degree in the summer! ( I have already done ours by 2 degrees)

* Reduce your showers to 3-5minutes (this will be hard for me but I am trying to just reduce some for now) A 10 minute shower uses 50 gallons of water

*Small baths

*Wear your jeans one extra time before washing

*Use less paper products and plastic bags

*Be aware of fruits and veggies which contain the most pesticides and would be more beneficial to but organic than others (Peach being the highest and Onions being the least)

Can I encourage you to Go More Green for YOU, YOUR FAMILY And OUR Mother Earth??? I will be keeping you posted on our list...

Burning some energy

Ohhh what a FUN Day!!!

Last Thursday we met friends at Traders Point Christian Church which has a great Free play area. The kids had lots of fun running around and climbing! It took Bella about 45 minutes to climb up the top but she got up there and had lots of fun! We took a picnic lunch to enjoy with all our friends! We will definitely go back again to burn some of that winter cabin fever energy!

Children's Museum...

We decided that we were only going to hit two exhibits that day so it was Jolly Days last day there and the new Barbie Exhibit!
It seemed to be the thing to do this weekend...seems like lots of our friends went to the museum! We met up with Ann, Warren & MiMi and the girls had a blast! Jolly Days we LOVED the Slide that was like a sledding hill, playing in the snow castle, "sock" skating, grooming the pet Reindeer, and baking!

Then off to the Barbie exhibit which was fabulous! Lots of Barbie's from each generation that you could look at, play with and make dresses for with fabric reminisce. The runway was our favorite part... Izabella could dress up and strut her stuff, do hair and make up, be a photographer or a DJ. (Which Daddy had fun showing her how to do it)

We have never been at the Museum before when it closes but you can be in a parade with Rex, the dinosaur, that starts on the top floor down to main floor. Bella had lots of fun with that too!
It was a good day at the Museum!
PS THANKS to Grandma and Papaw M for getting us a pass that we can enjoy the rest of the rest of the year!!!

Fashion Sense???

Each morning this weekend Bella decided to play in her jammies with her hats on!?!
Tried to get a picture of her on Sunday but she thought it was funny so wouldn't stop for me to snap a pic!
Don't know...silly girl!

Let's PLAY in the SNOW!!!

Thursday we had our first BIG snow fall of the year and we got bundled up to play in it!

We got a new purple sled and Bella LOVED riding on that! She called it her sleigh and even had imaginary reindeer to go with it!

We were out for almost for an hour and then she crashed on the couch as soon as we came in!
Ohhh Winter Fun!!!

Princess & The Frog

Sunday we took Bella to her first full length movie in the theater.
We decided to see The Princess and the Frog.
She got her little kids snack pack and got ready to watch the show. It was another great Disney production! Bella loved the music, she was either tapping her feet or dancing in front of her chair most of the time!

We like Cookies!!!
WOW....what a difference a year makes!!!
As I was uploading pictures this morning I came across my January 09 file and saw this picture! (Guess we like to make Chocolate Chip cookies in the winter)
I couldn't believe the difference in Izabella face, her height, I wish her hair was down to see how much it has grown! It is crazy how much they change and grow in a year...we know it but to look at it is amazing!
A little sad too...sniff sniff!

Happy New Year!!!

The Kids had fun dancing, playing and exchanging gifts before the all headed to bed for one big slumber party!
We had them down at 9:30 and think they were all asleep by 11:30!
Mine was one of the last!
Charlie's sparkling apple juice and all the girls screams were getting to him!!!
Hehe...

Angie got these great jelly beans...you sorted the colors and then each person got one...
the trick... some of then were gross flavors like...ear wax, vomit, skunk spray, baby wipes...I was lucky, the one time I played mine was latte flavor!
Adults must have FUN while children dream of a New Year....we rang it in with playing, Rock Band, Beer Pong or Champagne Pong for Angie and I.
The "either" game and LOTS of Fun!!!

THANKS Warner's for opening your house to a night full of fun and craziness!!!
We are looking forward to the next BIG slumber party!

HAPPY 2010 to everyone!!!

We hope you have a year full of much, Love, Laughter & HAPPINESS!!!

Christmas with the Kirk's

We started out with dinner at Benihana's where Bella practiced her chop stick skills and like her mommy and daddy loves eating there!

Then we did presents back at their house!
